Bird watching at Littleisland Lighthouse
Migrating birds are using Littleisland during transit and around 60 different kinds of birds have been observed until now. Puffins can be seen at sea during the early summer months. Colonies of Gannets are nesting on a neighbouring islet. The Shags are keeping us company on the rocks that surround Littleisland.
The domain of the White Tailed Eagle
The White Tailed Eagle is nesting on Littleisland – Litløya, and can often be seen around the lighthouse during autumn and winter. When going for a walk on Littleisland it's not uncommon to observe eagles flying overhead.
